Psalms 119:129 by mvcquotes on DeviantArt

Jesus is wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep Him!!!!! Christian, you and I have a responsibility to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and His wonderful gift of salvation. Anyone who has been plucked from near death by a police officer or fighter and that hero died in the line of duty protecting you, has a clear understanding of what Christ did. The police officer or fighter saved one, maybe even a few, from death while giving his/her own life. But Jesus died for all mankind so that we can live forever, not just in this lifetime on earth. Jesus took on all the world’s sins on Himself and paid the price and judgment for you and I! You must understand how important it is for you and I to share this wonderful gift! Yes, it’s a gift. John 3:16 makes that clear that this gift, Jesus Christ, that gives us eternal life! Once my soul is converted to Christ, my soul keeps Him for all eternity. I am His and I am secure in Him!

Joh 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Eph 2:8-9  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  (9)  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

God’s promises of eternal life never go away. God is truth. God is Holy. He does not renege on His promises. He doesn’t take His gift back. There are many proponents who say that we can lose our salvation. But I propose to you, friend, that the one who claims salvation and then falls away without coming back never had salvation to begin with.

Here are some verses that prove out that our salvation is secure in Jesus Christ. I hope this helps those who think you can give up your salvation. However as you will read below in John 10:28, that no man can pluck you out of Jesus’ hand once you are saved. If this person gave up his salvation, he was not saved to begin with. That person is included in the “neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand.

John 6:37 – All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

John 10:28 – And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand.

John 5:24 – Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Romans 11:29 – For the gifts and calling of God [are] without repentance.

Jude 1:24 – Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present [you] faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

1 John 5:13 – These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

2 Corinthians 1:22 – Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

Rom 8:38-39  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,  (39)  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Philippians 1:6 – Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform [it] until the day of Jesus Christ:

1Jn 5:10-13  He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.  (11)  And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  (12)  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.  (13)  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Wherever you are in this world, God has allowed you to be there for one sole purpose and that is to tell others about Christ. Even if you are housebound during this pandemic, you can reach out to the lost through emails, cards and letters, phone calls, etc. Or you can do as I do and start a blog of your own and share it with the lost. You can put tracts in bathrooms, self check out counters at the store, with tips/receipts at restaurants, etc. We have a slew of different methods at our fingertips, friend. Don’t be complacent with your faith. If you can’t be bold in speech, then be bold in quiet action. Not everyone can be a great evangelist, but everyone has the ability to reach out somehow to someone about Jesus. Remember, the Parable of the Talents – the believers were welcomed into Heaven with praise “Well done thou good and faithful servant.” But the unbeliever who did nothing with the wonderful gift God has given to mankind went to eternal punishment! Let’s do our best to reach the lost no matter what method we use!
