~Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
There’s nothing like a walk outside to refresh the weary spirit! One can’t help but feel closer to God, the Creator of all, when one sees a glorious sunset. The Lord Jesus Christ is the One responsible for this splendor – it was by His hand that all things were made (Psalm 89:11, John 1:1-3). Give Him the glory for His magnificent work! HE is the one to receive all the glory (1 Chronicles 29:11). Applaud Him in deed and word for the beauty you behold each day. In so doing, one can’t possibly stay discouraged or downhearted.
~Psalm 104:24 O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
How grateful I am for such beauty and magnificence! God has given us so much to enjoy yet we tend to dwell on the negatives of life. The Lord has provided us with our very own “therapy” through His creation. When I was a youngster, my father would take me to a piece of land he owned in the woods. On this property was creek with a beaver dam. We would sit in the woods and watch as the beavers would diligently work on the dam. When their work came to a stop, my Dad would remove one of the bigger pieces of wood from the dam, which would cause the water to flow through. I can still see my Dad winking at me and hear him tell me to stand by and watch what would happen next. Not a minute would pass and out would pop a beaver’s head from the water, then another – scurrying off to mend the dam. My father and I would sit for hours watching God’s creation hard at work. What great bonding between my father and I. What a beautiful lesson on God’s creation! What great memories!
Take time out to enjoy what the Father has given to us! Don’t take it for granted – breathe in the fresh air – count the stars – look for shapes in the clouds – smell the trees and flowers. All of this has been given to us by the Father! What gifts He has given us!
~James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
