Bible Verse of the Day - Daily Scripture, Daily Devotions

Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not Jesus! Good morning, reader! This verse is very convicting to me and I would hope to you as well. We live in a world where Christians do not shed tears over the lost souls that God has placed in their lives. Have we shed tears like rivers of waters because the world does not love Jesus? Shedding tears is not an automatic thing. This takes a grieving, repentant tender heart!

Today’s verse eats away at me – deep down in the pit of my stomach. My heart aches because I think of all the wasted time in my life when it comes to witnessing to those who do not love the Lord. There are many souls in my circle of friends and family who are not saved. Who will tell them about Jesus if I don’t? Am I depending on someone else to do my job?

Proverbs 11:30 – The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

Matthew 28:19 – Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

John 15:16 – Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Daniel 12:3 – And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

There are many ways to reach out to the lost! One can hand out tracts or mail them in a note card. There are some who would welcome a phone call because they are lonely while living through the Covid-19 pandemic. Reach out to them and befriend them. As the relationship is nurtured, it will present countless opportunities to tell them about Jesus. Please don’t make excuses but let today’s verse pierce your heart and the Holy Spirit will guide you in what needs to be done!

Hebrews 4:12“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
