Christ in Psalm 119:119 – Pull Up A Chair
Psalm 119:119 | Two Sparrows Press

Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross: Therefore I love Jesus!!! Good morning, reader! The frigid temperatures have caused me to reflect on the blessings which the Lord provides to me on a daily basis! My day’s agenda is jam packed with tasks but I’m so grateful that I have the health to do them. I have laundry because I have clothes. I have dishes because I have eaten. I have housework because I have a warm house to live in during these cold days! There is always something for which to be grateful, amen?

Today’s verse is quite sobering because there are so many souls who have no idea that they will be “put away” by God. :'( It challenges me to work diligently at this blog and to be a light to those I come in personal contact with every day. Dross is the impure matter and worthless part that is thrown away during the refining process of a metal, like silver. With that in mind, reflect on today’s verse. God puts away the sinners of the earth like a refiner discards dross. There comes a time in everyone’s life where we must stand before God to give an account for our lives.

Rom 14:11-12  For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.  (12)  So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

This is no small matter, friend! It is a very serious one indeed. It all boils down to whether or not you have believed in faith that Jesus Christ is God; that He came to earth; lived a sinless life; died on a cross for the forgiveness of our sins; and arose from the grave on the third day. There is no other way.

Joh 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Act 4:12  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

1 Ti 2:5  For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

2 Co 4:4-5  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.  (5)  For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.

Joh 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Joh 3:36  He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

As you can see, there will be no excuses for you to give God. He has given the opportunity for all to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. There is no other way. There is no other name. There are no excuses. With the knowledge provided on the internet, one has the opportunity to search out these matters. God puts the information out there. Even a native in the deepest forests of South America or Africa have an opportunity to hear when they are searching. God knows their heart and He will send a missionary or believer to show that native the way. God sends people in anyone’s path to explain the Gospel of Christ. Think for a moment … there was a time in your life where you heard the Gospel. If there hasn’t been a moment like this, then consider this blog post your “moment.”

Jesus promises salvation to you if you call on Him!

Rom 10:13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

This verse doesn’t say that you can “hope” for salvation, as all religions teach. Jesus says you shall (not might) be saved when you call upon Him. The Lord doesn’t want you to perish and be cast away like dross. He wants you to be saved.

2 Pe 3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Friend, if you need help to sort all of this out, please reach out to me and I will help you.

I’m praying you have received a blessing today. If you are already saved, please feel free to share my blog with friends and family that are not saved. Sometimes they don’t want to hear this from someone they are close to and when it comes from a stranger it is better received.
