~Psalm 119:28 My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.
Have you ever had one of those days where you just want to throw in the towel and say it’s just not worth it? I’m sure we have all been there at one time or another. It’s what we do with those feelings and frustrations that’s important.
David sure had these experiences, didn’t he? How did he resolve those feelings?
- He spoke to the Lord about them, and
- He sought God’s will, not his own.
How do I know that? He asked God to strengthen him according to His word!
God’s Word is all about His will, amen? How can one walk away from spending time reading His Word without being lifted up and encouraged? If anything, we walk away strengthened! We learn to trust in Him and we learn to turn to our Bibles when we feel as though our soul is melting for heaviness!
Are you feeling the burdens of the world on your shoulders today, Christian?
~Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light.
