Psalms 119:78 KJV - Let the proud be ashamed; for they ...

Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in Jesus. Can every believer scream this verse at this point in time in our Country???? Yes, indeed! Perhaps the proud have not dealt with me personally but they have indirectly dealt with nearly every area of my life. To what am I referring? The “left’s” efforts to rob the conservatives of their voice and rights has never been more prevalent as it is right now. They are dealing with us perversely without a cause. We have done nothing to them. We have stood on our principles according to the Bible. Therefore, we must presume that they are serving their father, the devil, and are hating us because of Jesus Christ.

Noah Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines perversely as:

PERVERSELY, adverb pervers’ly. With intent to vex; crossly; peevishly; obstinately in the wrong.

I find the definition of “vex” is also needed to be inserted here:

VEXverb transitive [Latin vexo.]

1. To irritate; to make angry by little provocations; a popular use of the word.

2. To plague; to torment; to harass; to afflict.

Ten thousand torments vex my heart.

3. To disturb; to disquiet; to agitate.

White curl the waves, and the vex’d ocean roars.

4. To trouble; to distress.

I will also vex the hearts of many people. Ezekiel 32:9.

5. To persecuteActs 12:1.

My friend, does this define the state of our beloved Country? Does this not define what the Christian is up against? But instead of fretting, let’s learn from David! David says he will meditate on God’s precepts. Jesus is the Word of God – He is the center of all precepts – the Creator and Definer of all precepts.

Meditate on Jesus, dear Christian. Rest in His care. He is still on the Throne and He will come again in the clouds to take us to Him. Will we have to suffer persecution before He returns for us? Maybe. But we do not know the hour or the day so why worry and fret over it? In the mean time, know that the same God who provided safety for Noah and his family, will help us through until He raptures us home! Be encouraged … be diligent in prayer and serving. Concentrate on the eternal rather what this world offers.

When one focuses on the negative, it affects our spirit and heart! When your heart is not into whatever you are doing, the results are evident. Therefore, place Christ on the throne of your heart and mind and let Him take care of those things which are beyond your control.
