~Lamentations 3:31-32 For the Lord will not cast off for ever: 32 But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.

Just as you hate to see your children suffer pain, so does our Heavenly Father. We suffer grief at the loss of a family member or friend, or because we sinned, or due to circumstances beyond our control. But today’s verse doesn’t differentiate – just as it doesn’t matter to us what the reason is that our child is grieving. We just want to hold this child and assure him that all will be well. Can you see the Lord doing this in today’s verses? ♥ ♥ ♥

God’s compassion is immeasurable … His mercies never ending 🙂 As sinners, we are so undeserving, yet He love us so completely!

~Lamentations 3:22-23 [It is of] the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 [They are] new every morning: great [is] thy faithfulness.

Great is Thy Faithfulness
Thomas Chisholm

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee,
Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not,
As Thou hast been,Thou forever wilt be.

Refrain:
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon, and stars in their courses above;
Join with all nature in manifold witness,
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love.

(Refrain)

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thine own great presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today, and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside.

(Refrain)
