What is in a book?

Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read. ~Isaiah 34:16

God gave His Word to man so that we may seek Him and find salvation within its pages. The religions of man will add to and take away from God’s Word – they also state that traditions are equal to in importance as the Word of God.

What does God say in the matter? His Word is so important to God that He spoke of it 130 times. The word Bible is not in the Bible but the word book is. The Greek word for Bible is “a book.” It can be found from the first Book of Genesis all the way through to the last Book of Revelation. God did not leave us without a way to find Him. He breathed His Word onto every page and left it in written form so that His creation could find Him and find the salvation that He freely provided as a gift to us.

I pray that you will take the time to read these verses and let them speak to your heart. May your eyes be open that God speaks to us through His Word and we do have His Word today in a preserved state. For a topic to be so important to Him so as to mention “the book” in 130 verses, it stands to reason that He would protect it from destruction and the corruptions of man. The Creator of the universe is quite capable of preserving His Word through the ages.

Why list all 130 verses? Because the Word is that important!
