~Romans 1:29-32 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Today’s text pretty much covers all types of sins. The last verse states that those who know God’s judgment and still commit such things are worthy of death. Furthermore, those who are guilty of supporting those sins are just as guilty of the same judgment! Wow! :shock: Do you see this?  Are you guilty of this, Christian?  Take a step back and look at your life.

When you go to the polls and vote, do you vote for someone who will support the abortion agenda yet you are against abortion?  You’re just as guilty as if you had done the abortion yourself!  Do you have friends or relatives who live a life of sodomy and they don’t know your stand on the issue?  Have you confronted them about it and told them they are living in sin?  If not, you’re as guilty of that sin!  How about couples who are living together?  Do you have friends you entertain in your own home and have not spoken to them about this?  How about if it’s your own child?

I believe you understand where I am coming from today.  If you think back on the morality of our beloved country 50 years ago, none of the sins I’ve just outlined were even spoken about in public, let alone encouraged or looked upon with complacency!  No – in fact, quite the opposite.  What has changed?  The Bible says that God never changes so His judgment will still be dispersed upon this wicked generation just as much as it was 50 years ago.

~Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

God never changes! What has changed is the heart and mind of man.  Man has allowed the sin of this world to harden his heart. After all, the more you sin the harder your heart becomes to sin and the less you are convicted of it.  What God considered sin thousands of years ago is still sin today.  What God considered an abomination thousands of years ago is still an abomination today!  It is man who has strayed and has hardened his heart to the point where sin is no longer considered sin! To abort one’s child was considered murder – now it’s considered an inconvenience! To be a homosexual was considered an abomination to God – now it’s a lifestyle.

I was having this same discussion with a dear friend last week. I told her that when I was a young teenager, the world was disgusted by the sodomite’s sin! Today the world is not even mildly annoyed – in fact, laws are being passed to protect them.  Those who speak out against it are considered haters and charged with a hate crime. The world gets further and further away from the Word of God. Should the Lord tarry His return, I would not be surprised that in 50 years, pedophiles will no longer be viewed as disgusting and horrible sinners but will be an accepted lifestyle of society – or it will be stated that it is a “disease” – or they will say ‘the poor dear is sick’!  Oh deceived generation of blind hard-hearted sinners! This generation no longer recognizes sin but, instead, calls sin “good” – all under the title of “tolerance”!!

~Isaiah 5:20-21 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

Judgment is coming. God does not change, dear soul. God will judge according to His Word, not according to what feels good or what other people say is right. How can one say he is a Christian when he is committing sin that God has said is an abomination or he is supporting the very same sin? Turning a blind eye is equal to supporting that sin – can’t you see that? How can you allow yourself to be so deceived by the god of this world, the devil, the father of lies? It is a choice that you will have to make and I pray your choice is made before it is too late.

If you are a Christian, then act like one! Stand up for Christ and what He has taught us. Don’t try to smooth ruffled feathers in a family when there is sin running rampant. Stay away from it – do not support it – do not condone it! And worse of all, do not be silent! The devil has his way with his children.  Why not allow the Holy Spirit of God to have His way with you?  How will they (the world) know what the Bible says on this topic except you tell them? Don’t sit on the fence – after all, the fence belongs to the devil. That’s what he wants you to do!  Jump off that fence and run as fast as you can to the Word of God! Then stop being ashamed of what He has taught you and start shouting His judgment from the rooftop!

  1. EXCELLENT devotional Ma Kat. Amen & Amen!!!

    Stand up, stand up for Jesus, ye soldiers of the cross;
    Lift high His royal banner, it must not suffer loss.
    From victory unto victory His army shall He lead,
    Till every foe is vanquished, and Christ is Lord indeed.

    Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the solemn watchword hear;
    If while ye sleep He suffers, away with shame and fear;
    Where’er ye meet with evil, within you or without,
    Charge for the God of battles, and put the foe to rout.

    Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the trumpet call obey;
    Forth to the mighty conflict, in this His glorious day.
    Ye that are brave now serve Him against unnumbered foes;
    Let courage rise with danger, and strength to strength oppose.

    Stand up, stand up for Jesus, stand in His strength alone;
    The arm of flesh will fail you, ye dare not trust your own.
    Put on the Gospel armor, each piece put on with prayer;
    Where duty calls or danger, be never wanting there.

    Stand up, stand up for Jesus, each soldier to his post,
    Close up the broken column, and shout through all the host:
    Make good the loss so heavy, in those that still remain,
    And prove to all around you that death itself is gain.

    Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the strife will not be long;
    This day the noise of battle, the next the victor’s song.
    To him who overcometh a crown of life shall be;
    They with the King of Glory shall reign eternally.

    George Duffield, Jr. 1818-1888

  2. You forgot to say many mainline church denominations now allow homosexuals and lesbians to be members of their churches and many also allow them to be pastors. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for that un-Godly sin and the USA is flirting with disaster.

    Congratulations for standing for truth, not many are.

  3. Thank you for visiting, Nate – and thank you for your comments. I wrote that post back in 2010 and things have certainly progressed even worse. I never thought things would get this wicked but they have! 🙁 You are right about the future of our beloved Country if things don’t change. I truly believe that the pendulum is already in motion and will be impossible to stop at this point 🙁

  4. Thank you SO much for speaking truth! In a world blinded and deceived, truth is harder and harder to press through. This was a well-timed blessing!!! Thanks again!

  5. Hi Hope, thank you so much for the words of encouragement. Not too many people post comments and so it is nice to hear from someone who actually reads the posts 🙂

    Blessings,

    Kate

  6. Thank you for this! I just recently left my teaching position at a private Christian school because of the decision to accept a child being raised in a Lesbian home. I was not supported when I spoke against this decision. I knew I could not stay so I am unemployed and grateful for a supportive husband and a wonderful God that provides!
    We live in times that as Christians we can’t be passive. We must speak out against wrong and work to direct others to a path of eternal life with Jesus! Yes, we are all sinners, but we must support one another and guide each other to keep right with God’s word! It’s hard to swim upstream, but the reward is great! I look forward to the day I can be with my Saviour!

  7. I may be small but these are very good comments.I believe all of You are going to see that you must NOT sin,IT IS BAD!

  8. For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life.I want to bless all those who commented.I’m only 10 and I got the message.

  9. Thank you for visiting Karissa! So happy that you did! You are right about sin! It is bad to sin and we should love the Lord enough to keep from sin!

  10. You’re a very smart ten year old, Karissa 🙂 Thank you for visiting!

  11. Thank you. I have been condoning sin in my family. I really have to stand up for Jesus!!!

  12. We are saved by GRACE (Gr. charis): “The influence of Jesus Christ upon the heart, INCLUDING His reflection in our life”. Grace reflects Christ.

    Grace is “Christ in you”, flowing through, to a world in need of Christ.

    Grace “teaches us to live soberly, righteously, godly in this present world”. If it isn’t teaching godliness, it isn’t God’s grace, its something else.

    “Sin shall NOT have dominion over you” … BECAUSE you are under grace. “Christ in us” actually saves us from our sin (our own wickedness) in reality. His words ARE Spirit and life. HE IS OUR SAVIOUR! He came to save from our own wickedness. 😉

  13. God hates sin because He loves people. Sin destroys people. Sin comes to steal, kill, and destroy everything precious in our lives. Sin destroys us, body, mind and soul.

    Speak the truth in love, but DO speak the truth. Speak the truth because you care about humanity, not to display your religion. “Let your light so shine before men that THEY MAY SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS, and glorify (honor) your Father in heaven” – this brings honor to God in the eyes of the nations (which we are commissioned to make disciples of). Darkness is only the absence of Light. Obey Christ in caring about others, and keep yourselves UNSPOTTED from the world.

    For a glimpse of what a repentant heart looks like, read Acts 19:18-20.
