Let those that fear thee turn unto me, and those that have known Jesus! Good morning! Praying this day is a blessed one for you and that you are trusting in the Lord during this pandemic! It’s during times like these that our testimony for Christ should shine through! People are watching and looking at how you react in times of stress. Are you fretting? Are you trusting the Lord (Prov. 3:5-6)? There’s not an ounce of worry that will solve these problems, amen?

In today’s verse, I believe that David’s bad testimony (Bathsheba, etc.) had caused his followers to turn from him. David was repentant of his sin but the stench of that sin was still in the minds of those that left him. Here David is asking the Lord to turn those followers’ hearts back to him. It would be no different than me ruining my testimony and trying to set that right with God and then with my church family.

There are some sins that will follow you the rest of your life, whether you have repented of that sin or not. I know of this young man whose father was a Pastor. The young man was saved at a young age but got caught up in the wrong crowd. His friends talked him into being a getaway driver as they committed armed robbery. This young man went to prison and served his time. He ruined his life and it took a while for the church family to trust him once again when he was released from prison. Because of this, he was no longer able to help his father in the ministry with anything involving money.

David was in this same situation. His previous sins caused others not to trust him and he was begging the Lord to help him regain that trust with his people.

Psa 30:5  For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Where are you in your life, Christian? Have you lost your testimony? God can heal that as He did David’s. In light of today’s political climate, we as believers must show the lost that there is hope in the blessed Name of Jesus! He gives peace in the midst of the storm! Amen?

Psa 84:11  For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

2 Co 4:16-18  For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17  For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18  While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
