Psalm 119:76-77

Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to Jesus unto thy servant. Is there truly any better comfort than that which is brought by being a child of the King? God is good, all the time, amen? His kindness toward us is so undeserved but praise Him that He sheds that kindness despite us! Mercy was given to us the day that Christ shed His blood for us and arose. He paid the ultimate price so that we could experience His merciful kindness each and every single day.

His merciful kindness is for our comfort – do you get that Christian? This is why we cannot focus on the negatives of this world. We must train ourselves to think on the good things, despite the circumstances which surround us.

Php 4:8  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Training ourselves is like exercising a muscle. It doesn’t come easy – it doesn’t come without pain and adjustment. However, when we practice this verse, we are training our minds and hearts to focus on true, honest, just, pure, and good reports! The news and social media are surely not filled with any of these. However, in order for us to live out this verse, we must live and breathe it. Otherwise, we will be pulled down and become as negative as the news they put out. We can only be as effective to an unsaved world as what we put in our hearts, amen?!!! Our goal is to lead others to Christ, not to lead others to a political agenda. Only Christ can change the heart of a liberal unsaved thinker. They are exposed to the news and social media all day long. But they are rarely exposed to the loving Christian whose desire is to lead them to Truth and Christ’s merciful kindness!
