Bible Verse of the Day - Daily Scripture, Daily Devotions

The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep Jesus with my whole heart! Oh how this verse depicts the social and political climate of today. When people today don’t like something or someone, a series of lies are started. This quote appears in Analysis of the Personality of Adolph Hitler: With Predictions of His Future Behaviour and Suggestions for Dealing with Him Now and After Germany’s Surrender, by Henry A. Murray, October 1943:[10]

Never to admit a fault or wrong; never to accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time; blame that enemy for everything that goes wrong; take advantage of every opportunity to raise a political whirlwind.

This truly reflects the left’s position in today’s current politics. President Trump is to blame for everything and the left has certainly managed to “raise a political whirlwind.” Why don’t Americans see this? Why don’t believers see this? They are blinded by the father of this world, that’s why.

But Christian, if you are in your Bible and listening to the Holy Spirit’s guidance and teaching, you will see through these smoke screens. Keeping Jesus with our whole heart is an ongoing process. It takes work. In a world filled with quick “microwave” solutions, people expect to absorb without effort. However, learning the Scriptures does take effort. It takes time to read and absorb what the Holy Spirit wants to teach us. All the answers are in our Bible, folks.

  1. YES, how today’s verse depicts the social and political climate of today! We live in a world where evil is called good…..and good is called evil. Isaiah 5:20; “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

God help us in these last days as we witness this spiritual battle for the soul of our nation and its people! Believers, stand firm for our Lord Jesus Christ! 1 John 4:4b; “…..Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” Matt. 5:16; “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

  2. Amen and amen, my friend!
