Psalm 119:16 (KJV) "I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will ...

Jesus is easily found in today’s verse! He is the Word and He provides us with direction and clearly outlines His will for us. Let’s look at Jesus in verse 16:

I will delight myself in Jesus: I will not forget Jesus!

When I first was saved, all I could think about was Jesus! My thoughts revolved around Him and I was excited to talk about Him to anyone who would listen. Weren’t you that way? Are you still that way?

Rev. 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

Jesus reminds us not to leave our first love in this verse. Have you left your first love? Do you spend time in God’s word like you used to? Do you talk to others about Him? Do you continue to grow in His word?

When we delight ourselves in Him, we won’t forget Him! We remember His word and apply it to our lives. In summary today, delight yourself in Jesus! Amen?

  1. Your devotionals continue to bless and encourage my heart dear sister. I rejoice at the gifts the Lord has given you to use for His honor and glory! May Christians be reminded, especially during these trying times, that HE IS our strength and shield. Pslam 28:7; “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.”

Also, may our precious Saviour draw many to Himself in these last days. Oh Lord, open their blinded eyes that they might see their desperate need for salvation.

    God bless you Ma Kat!
