~Proverbs 25:4 Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.
I was going through my jewelry this morning trying to decide what to wear but kept coming up with tarnished silver pieces.
How frustrating! So I settled for a gold bracelet that didn’t need polishing
Today’s verse came to mind as I thought about my frustrating situation. I could hear the Lord trying to speak to my heart through it all. What dross is there in my life that keeps me from being the vessel that He can use? If I had been proactive, all of my jewelry would have been shined and ready for the wearing. Instead, I let that task slide and set myself up for this frustrating morning
I’m so thankful that God is proactive! He doesn’t let anything slide but is actively at work in my life – even through little lessons such as these.
Oh how I want to be a “vessel for the finer”! Remove from me any dross, Lord, so I can be ready for You to use!
~2 Timothy 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, [and] prepared unto every good work.
On a side note, I found this really need blog that shows how to clean your silver and jewelry the natural way – and the results are instant!
