Another area of concern in America today is the homosexual agenda. It is no longer something that is spoken in secret but it is placed right before us, square in the face. What does God’s Word say about homosexuality?

~Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

~Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

~Romans 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

~Leviticus 18:25 And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.

~Romans 1:26-28 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: (26) And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. (27) And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; (28

~Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

~1 Corinthians 6:9-11 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, (9) Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. (10) And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. (11)

So God says that homosexuality is a sin that is an abomination to Him and is worthy of death. He goes on further to reveal that homosexuality defiles the land, just as it did with Sodom and Gomorrha. And lastly, the one who practices homosexuality and refuses to repent will not enter heaven.

No where in Scriptures is a sin recorded where an entire city received judgment because of that sin, except for homosexuality. It is a sin against nature – all nature has male and female alike and coupled. The sin of homosexuality destroys the family unit according to the Scriptures – man, wife and children.

Does the Christian hate the homosexual? No! The Christian ought to hate the sin, not the sinner. For the Bible says that we all sin. Homosexuality is a difficult sin to overcome. But nothing is too difficult with the Lord Jesus Christ at the helm of one’s life!
