Every day I stand amazed at thy bless’ed tender mercies.
Thy creation sends each one on the tail of Thy sweet breezes.
Each hair upon my head is numbered according to Thy Word
Thou art faithful and sleepest not, to fear is but absurd!
All my trials are in Thy care and not one escapes Thy view!
Dear Lord, let Thy grace upon me each morning be renewed!
As I look to Thee each day in the midst of all my trials,
May I share Thy Word with others and be a shining light!

The Anvil of God’s Word
Last eve I paused beside a blacksmith’s door,
And heard the anvil ring the vesper chime;
Then, looking in, I saw upon the floor
Old hammers, worn with beating years of time.
“How many anvils have you had,” said I,
“To wear and batter all these hammers so?”
“Just one,” said he, and then, with twinkling eye,
“The anvil wears the hammers out, you know.”
And so, thought I, the anvil of God’s Word,
For ages skeptic blows have beat upon;
Yet, though the noise of falling blows was heard,
The anvil is unharmed–the hammers gone.
Just reading Your Word is a privilege
I never dreamed would be
So much a part of my daily life
And impossible to shake free.
It’s become a vital food for me
To feed my hungry soul
It quenches the thirst I have for truth
And lets mysteries unfold!
It ministers to every single need
No one does He overlook
Our questions have all been answered
In this Solitary Book!
My King James Bible, a miracle indeed
The way it all seems to flow
The same Spirit authored each single word
So we would all be able to grow!
So if you want wisdom then read God’s Book
And He’ll never let you down
Be persistent in your search for truth
And your foundation will be sound!
My Father and I are one,
Joined together because of His Son
Not by my actions or deeds
But only by the work Christ has done
Salvation was freely given,
By the One who had paid the full price
He painfully said “It is finished”
Offering Himself as a sacrifice.
The Father and I are one
Because of Christ’s work for the lost
I am gloriously saved by grace
Thank You, Father, for the work of the cross!
The trees with tiny buds await the call to bloom
The robin begins to sing its melodius tune
The signs of Spring are in the air, life all anew
The daffodils swaying as the sun dries the dew
Creation applauds as Spring’s entrance is made
Announcing to all rebirth beautifully portrayed
By the hand of the Master Creator on high
He whispers His love through His beauty divine
This new birth spills forth to mankind through His grace
Salvation is free to all and their sins are erased
A new life in Christ where old things have all passed
Born again of the Spirit, reconciled at last

Author and Finisher of my faith
Do guide me along the way
Bishop of my soul I plead
Shed Your grace throughout the day
Beloved Shepherd and my Friend
Draw nigh in my time of need
Almighty Captain direct my ship
And calm my billowing seas
Oh Lord of lords and King of kings
You walk along side with me
To You I turn my Refuge and Rock
I find peace there when I flee

There is none other like my God
His love for me complete
I found my way one glorious day
At His most precious feet.
The feet who trod the land He made
Were pierced because of me
My sins did take Him to His death
That day upon the tree.
He bled and died so I might be
Saved to the uttermost
Not anything that I could do
Or tried to even boast
The ones from times of long ago
Diligently did try
To follow and obey Him
They called Him El Shaddai
However hard they tried to keep
The laws commanded them
They relied upon their flesh
God said they were condemned
It is by grace that we are saved
A gift free from above
Jesus paid our penalty
Of death because of love
There is none other like the Lamb
Who sits on Heaven’s Seat
Lord of Lords, Eternal One,
The King of Kings Supreme.

I am thankful for my blessings
Not a day does ever go by
Where my heart reaches toward Heav’n
And my eyes can’t help but cry
Each need my Saviour does provide
Never slacking nor does He sleep
His timing is truly perfect
In His palm my life He keeps
There are times my needs are many
Some met before I even ask
At times the Lord remains silent
Yet he’s working on the task
My Shepherd lovingly does care
For each intimate of details
He carefully does touch them all
With His hand which never fails
I thank You Lord for loving me
For this love I do not deserve
It was free for me to receive
Now with gladness do I serve!
Thank you, Lord…
For my husband, John, and giving him a strong body and mind to lead our family.
For my son, Aaron, and giving him the gift of teaching to mold tomorrow’s young minds.
For my son, Adam, and giving him a love for his country to serve as a Marine.
For my Pastor and church family and the blessing they are to me.
For my dear friends (you know who you are) who touch my heart and challenge me.
For my brother and his dear wife for opening their lives so we may join in.
For my health – for without it, I could not use the gifts You have given to me.
For meeting each need in our lives as we praise Your Name and share the blessings with those who will hear us.
I’m eternally grateful for these and too many to record here. I love you, Lord!

There is no other who can fill my heart
The way You can, dear Lord.
There is nothing else that can satisfy
Like a drink from Your precious word.
Each page has just what I need to read
To guide and to light my way.
When my heart is heavy or overwhelmed
Your words are fresh like winter air.
There is none other like you my Lord
You know exactly what I need
On each page Your Spirit whispers truth
And the waters of doubt recede
You raise me up when I am down
My spirit you cause to soar
As I look unto the hills for You
I find Your love and so much more!
Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour is.
So deserving to be adored.
The Alpha, Omega, first and last,
And King of Kings forever more!
